Due to changes in state policy, the fish ladder will be open to the public beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2. We are excited to share this year’s great fish run, which will last for at least another week and probably for two more weeks. To take advantage of this awesome opportunity to see Damariscotta Mills alewives as they make their way up the beautiful stone fish ladder, please, please, please, for safety’s sake, don’t visit if you are sick! And observe the 6-foot social distance we have all learned to live with…and wear a mask! To date, Covid has not gained a firm foothold in Lincoln County. Let’s all work to make sure it doesn’t….while we enjoy this wonderful rite of spring and ritual of renewal: watching alewives, up close and personal. Enjoy everyone!
