Damariscotta Mills Maine 1857
The quilt is inspired by an 1857 map of Damariscotta Mills that shows by
contours the depth of the water in Damariscotta Lake and Great Salt
Bay. It is the sixth raffle quilt that Betty Lu Brydges has created
and donated to the fish ladder’s restoration. All proceeds from the
raffle support ongoing maintenance of the ladder and the public
walkways that allow alewife viewing. The winning raffle ticket will be
drawn at the Fish House at 11am on Tuesday Sept. 1. The quilt will be
shipped to the winner if they are not present at the drawing. Ticket
sales close at 1pm on Saturday August 29.
The raffle quilt is on display in the atrium of our sponsor Skidompha Public Library on Main Street in Damariscotta. Skidompha Library is a wonderful supporter of the fish ladder. We thank their staff and
volunteers for their invaluable help.
How to Buy Raffle Tickets
Tickets are on sale at the Skidompha Public Library on Main Street in Damariscotta. You can purchase single tickets for $5 each or booklets
of 6 tickets for $25. We accept cash or check made out to DMFLR.
