The festival is held on Memorial weekend Saturday at the Fish House, Damariscotta Mills, Route 215N, as a celebration of the return of the Alewives who are usually running in full spate at this time. Our first festival was in 2007. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Fish Ladder and associated infrastructure. Our progress and current goals are described on the Restoration page.
